Here's a list of tools and resources I use in my business. It includes everything from tools & resources I use for this website, for managing Facebook ads, hosting webinars and more.
Full disclosure: Some of the links below are affiliate links. That means if you click a link & end up buying any of the products, I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you (Thanks!). That doesn't affect what I share here in any way at all. I only recommend tools I use and like. Some of these aren't affiliate links because they don't offer an affiliate program, but I still include the tool in the list because it's the one I use and like.
Website
WPX Hosting (formerly TrafficPlanet): The hosting service I use for this website. Super fast, great support, really reliable, free SSL certificates, and it's priced affordably as well. I've used a lot of other hosting companies, from really cheap to premium Wordpress hosting and WPX is the best I've found. If you're looking for a web host (or don't like your existing provider), you should seriously consider giving WPX a try.
X Theme: The Wordpress theme I use is called ‘X' by Themeco. Love this theme. It's my go-to theme and I've used it on a bunch of sites now. It's got some great templates to get you started, a simple drag & drop page builder, amazing support (and a really active forum where most of your questions have already been answered), and it's updated regularly.
Unbounce: My favourite landing page builder. I use it for all of my opt-in pages, webinar pages, etc. Super easy to use and lightning fast page speed, which really matters when it comes to conversion rates. Oh, and if you use my link you'll get 20% off for the first 3 months!
Thrive Leads: Thrive Leads is a Wordpress plugin that powers all of the in-post opt-ins, sidebar opt-ins etc. on the site. It's a fantastic lead generation tool. It's got exit intent capabilities, beautiful templates, single-click opt-ins, great analytics and heaps more that I won't list here.
Social Warfare: Like the social share buttons you see around the site, like in my posts and on the sidebar? That's the Social Warfare plugin in action. Great little social sharing plugin.
PushCrew: Add push notifications to your website with this free tool.
ActiveCampaign: The tool I use to manage my email lists, automated emails, etc. I've used just about every major email tool out there (CovertKit, Ontraport, Infusionsoft, Drip, Mailchimp, Aweber…), and all I can say is it's not even a comparison. The power, ease of use and huge feature list of ActiveCampaign make it a no brainer for me. I know it will be able to handle my needs as my business grows as well (changing email service providers is a HUGE pain). Definitely check ActiveCampaign out if you're looking for an email service provider.
Facebook Ad Tools
ConnectRetarget: An amazing tool that enhances the Facebook pixel to allow you to create much more specific Custom Audiences & more profitable retargeting campaigns. With ConnectRetarget you can create Custom Audiences and retarget website visitors based on how much time they've spend on your site, how far they scrolled down a page, the number of time they've visited, where they were referred from, and much, much more. If you want to get really granular with your retargeting, this is the tool for the job.
AdEspresso Facebook Ad Examples: Ever get stuck trying to think of a new image or copy for your Facebook ads? AdEspresso have a free library packed with 1000's of ad examples for you to browse through when you need some inspiration.
Social Media
Buffer: Lets you schedule social media posts for a bunch of platforms. I use it for Facebook and Twitter. Great free plan & you can upgrade to the pro version later if you need extra features.
TweetDeck: Mac app that I use to manage Twitter. If you're after a more powerful tool for looking after your Twitter account it's worth checking out.
Other
ThriveCart: The best checkout software available at the moment (in my opinion), and at an excellent price point compared to it's competitors. If you're selling anything online you should take a look at ThriveCart. Integrates with all of the major payment processors, handles recurring payments, lets you set up affiliate links so others can sell your products for you, easy checkout page builder, and heaps more.
DeadlineFunnel: The best tool available for creating and enforcing real deadlines on your offers. Add countdown timers to your sales and checkout pages, and make sure that once the offer expires it can no longer be accessed. A must-have tool for anyone selling online and using time-sensitive offers.
SEMRush: Great for finding keywords to focus on. Simply enter a website and SEMRush tells you which keywords drive most of their organic traffic, whether they are buying ads and if so, which keywords they are focusing on etc. Also a great tool for tracking which keywords you actually rank for. Comes with a free trial too.
Audio Technica ATR-2100 USB Microphone: Great little microphone if you're looking for something that's high quality and reasonably priced. Sounds 100x better than using iPhone headphones.
Logitech C920: High quality full HD webcam. Miles ahead of your laptop's built-in camera, no matter what type of laptop you have. Great if you're doing webinars, video streaming etc.
